Let the games begin! With this call we will play our Gametour next spring. With the theme 'Game' and in the broader sense 'Games', we draw on an enormous source of inspiration, associations and current affairs. More than ever, our society is digitally connected and millions of people find each other - whether or not through games - in a parallel world. But with millions of faces focused on smartphones, the real human contact is increasingly lacking.
Connecting element
The Ricciotti will change this during this tour, by using the digital means as a physical connecting element. It will be a tour where people will find each other and make real contact.
Fully charged and with a combination of apps, electronics, multidisciplinary compositions and special instruments, we step into the Game World with our soloists PERFORATOR, looking for new forms of contact with the audience. During our six-day tour through the Netherlands you will hear how elements from the theme 'Game' can be found directly in the compositions for symphony orchestra.

(basgitaar)PERFORATOR consists of oboist Marlies van Gangelen (1988) and composer / musician Akim Moiseenkov (1987). The duo combines contemporary electronic music with modern classical, improvisation and movement. Marlies plays oboe with electronic effects, Akim uses synthesizers and joysticks to make music. The performances get an extra dimension through motion sensors, attached to their bodies. The duo is looking for the correlation between sound and movement through this path.
Both musicians have different musical backgrounds. For example, Marlies attended a bachelor's classical oboe at the Conservatory of Amsterdam (CvA) before moving to London to focus on improvisation during her master's at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Akim studied tests at the CvA's pop department, followed by the master's in Live Electronics.
PERFORATOR involves the public in the performances in a unique and contemporary way. Electronics and apps are a creative means for interaction.
