About the Ricciotti ensemble
The Ricciotti ensemble is a street symphony orchestra consisting of 43 young, enthusiastic musicians. The orchestra has a clear social mission: to play live symphonic music in places where it usually does not sound, for people who usually do not come into contact with a symphony orchestra. The orchestra's mobility is unique: the Ricciotti does not need a stage and can set up in less than two minutes. It takes place on the street, in the asylum seekers' centre, the orphanage and the prison, in the old center of Havana, the Scottish Highlands or on an airplane. Many of the members of the Ricciotti study at the conservatory; others are advanced amateurs. The orchestra goes on tour three times a year. Every year, the Ricciotti gives at least a hundred performances, which are always free of charge. For more information, please contact the artistic director via firstname.lastname@example.org
